Glue Sticks & Gumdrops

Fun fall craft that helps kids work on fine motor skills while making a cute project!

So, you want to make a beaded pumpkin with the kids (or all by yourself). That's great! Threading beads is fantastic fine motor practice for little hands.

Let’s get started!

Here's what you'll need for the beaded pumpkin craft:

5 orange pipe cleaners 1 green pipe cleaner lots of orange pony beads

Step 1: Twist the orange pipe cleaners together, kind of like a spider.

You just need to wrap the pipe cleaner around the center one time.

Step 2: Thread the beads onto the pipe cleaners, one arm at a time. Make sure you have the same number on each arm.

Step 3: Pinch the ends of the legs together at the top, and wrap the ends with the green pipe cleaner.

Voila!

Your beaded pumpkin is done. Spread the "arms" out and smush it down a bit to give it that classic pumpkin shape.
