Is there anything better than a big plate of pancakes for breakfast? I don’t think so! But I was getting tired of my go-to recipe, so I thought I’d spice things up a bit–literally. These pancakes have a nice spicy, sort-of Christmasy flavor. Try them. You’ll know what I mean!
Cinnamon-Spiced Pancakes
These cinnamon-spiced pancakes taste like Christmas morning!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 5 tbsp sugar
- 3 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp butter melted
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Sift flour into large bowl.
- Add dry ingredients (sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt), and mix until combined.
- Add butter, vanilla and milk. Slowly mix in the beaten egg until all ingredients are well combined and smooth.
- Pour 1/4 cup batter per pancake onto nonstick griddle or pan. Flip the pancake when the top gets bubbly. Cook 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Serve with maple syrup.
