These M&M blondies are soft and chewy, but the crispy M&Ms provide a surprising crunchy texture in every bite, too. These are delicious served alone or with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream!
In case you haven’t heard, M&M’s® Crispy are back! We first tried them about a month ago when we bought them for our family movie night at home. We absolutely loved them, so when I decided to make blondies for our dessert this weekend, I knew that they’d be the perfect addition.
M&M Blondies Made with Crispy M&Ms
I popped into CVS to pick up a few things, including several bags of these yummy little things. I grabbed a few large bags from the candy aisle to use for baking.
And I knew that the M&M’s® Crispy candies would never make it into the blondies if I didn’t get my two favorite guys (the hubby and kiddo) bags of their own. Luckily, there were some snack-sized bags at checkout, so they were able to satisfy their sugar cravings while I was able to keep my candy stash for baking.
As you can see, he was a happy camper!
After the guys were settled in with their snacks and movie, I went to the kitchen to whip up these blondies. The base recipe is our go-to recipe for blondies, and it’s so versatile because you can toss in a cup of your favorite candies to change up the flavor whenever you like.
How to Make Crispy M&M Blondies
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and get your ingredients ready. You’ll need a stick of melted butter, 1 cup of dark brown sugar, 1 large egg, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, 1 cup of self-rising flour, 1 cup of M&M’s® Crispy and a pinch or two of kosher salt.
Mix the butter and brown sugar in a large bowl with a whisk. Then, add the egg and vanilla. Next, begin adding the flour. I like to add about one-third at a time, mixing the flour until it’s incorporated into the sugar-butter mixture.
As you can see, the batter will be really thick. At that point, you’re ready to toss in about a cup of M&M’s® Crispy, stirring just enough to mix them in. When you get ready to pour the batter into a greased 8×8 glass dish, just scoop and spread! It’s too thick to pour.
Sprinkle a pinch or two of kosher salt over the top of your M&M blondies for a little sweet-salty taste when it hits your tongue. You’ll thank me later.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
They go into the oven looking like this…
And they come out looking like this. Sooooo yummy!
And I know it will be hard, but let these M&M Blondies cool for about an hour before you try to cut them.

Which do you prefer–blondies or brownies? Let me know in the comments!
Those look delicious! I love blondies, and I still haven’t tried the Crispy M&Ms yet.
Stephanie, you should totally give them a try. I love the crispy center–it’s a nice surprise in a chocolate candy!
I prefer blondies hands down. And this recipe looks fabulous. I love the crispy M&Ms 🙂
Thanks, Heather. I like both blondies and brownies, but I’ve been digging the blondies a little more lately.
These look really good. I always like baking with candy or chocolate pieces
Finding the right candy definitely adds some pizzazz to an ordinary recipe!
These look amazing. I have not had a chance to try the M&M crispy kind and I think this would be the perfect time to try it. Everything is better with ice-cream.
It’s definitely a great time to try them! They’re on sale right now, and there’s a $1 coupon!
Those look so yummy and easy to make. Who doesn’t like M&Ms? thanks for the recipe.
I was so happy to see these MnMs make a comeback – they are a favorite! And I like blondies, but I’m a total brownie freak! That said, these look delicious, and I’d love to try them! Pinned!

Thank you, Jessica!
Can you believe I’ve never had a blondie?! These look really delicious and easy to make so maybe I’ll whip up a batch sometime soon. #client
Oh my goodness… You definitely need to try blondies. They’re more versatile than brownies (in my opinion) because the flavor is more subtle.
