How to Make This Grow in God’s Love Flower Craft

  1. First, color the template. (Get the template here.) The hearts are flowers, the oval shaped pieces are leaves, and the circle will become the sun, so keep that in mind while coloring.
  2. Next, cut out the pieces of the template.
  3. Grab the green colored paper and cut a strip about 2 inches wide. Take the yellow paper and cut a strip about 1 inch wide.
  4. Use scissors to cut little slits down the entire length of the yellow paper and green paper to create a fringe effect.
  5. Glue the green fringe piece to the bottom of the blue paper, putting glue only at the uncut section. Give the fringy pieces a 3D effect by bending them forwards slightly.
  6. Glue the yellow strip to the back of the circle, bending it to go around, trim off any extra, as you won’t use the whole strip.
  7. Now glue the sun to the blue paper.
  8. Use the green paper again to cut four (4) thin strips for the flower stems.
  9. Then, glue the stems to the hearts.
  10. Glue the hearts, stems and leaves to the paper to spell the word LOVE. Giving each flower a different height, as seen in the picture, looks better, but it’s okay if the kids glue them straight across, too.
  11. Finally, glue the cloud to the top of the blue paper and the craft is complete.
