If you’re like me, you don’t exactly look forward to holidays where people are prone to pump kids with sugar. A little candy is fun… a lot of candy makes tots go wild! We’re doing non-candy valentines for my son’s little friends this year, particularly because most of them are four years old and under. (Friends, you can thank me later.) Of course, the Dollar Tree has lots of low-cost goodies that won’t give you cavities, so here’s a printable to use with their fish stickers. These could also work for boat stickers, goldfish crackers, toy boats, or any other marine-related toy or snack.
Cute and colorful… and you can download them here:
The fish stickers came in packs of 9. What a great deal! If you can find coordinating pencils, erasers or even notebooks, those would make a cute addition to the goodies. For the baggies, we used both clear snack baggies and printed Valentine’s Day bags from the Dollar Tree. Both of them look cute.
Remember, when you’re cutting the printables, leave the white space ABOVE the “great catch” picture. That’s the part that you’ll fold over the bag. We used a staple to secure them, but you could also use bag ties and attach the card to the baggie. I recommend using cardstock if you use them as a gift tag, but for bag toppers, regular paper works just fine.
What sort of treats or toys are you giving out at your child’s Valentine’s Day party?
