- Brown cardstock paper (or construction paper, though it’s a little flimsier than cardstock)
- Popsicle sticks
- Craft glue
- Black marker
- Scissors
How to Make a Gingerbread Man Bookmark
Step 1: Print the template. You can get it HERE. Cut out all the template pieces.
Step 2: Trace the gingerbread man head and body onto the brown cardstock. Cut out the pieces. Trace and cut out the other patterns from different colored construction paper. The frosting pieces should be printed on white paper, the bow can be printed on red, etc. See the pictures for recommended colors for each piece.
Step 3: Attach the frosting pattern to the top of the head. Glue the small circle to the middle of the bow.
Step 4: Glue the thin wavy strips near the bottom of the gingerbread man’s arms and legs. Use scissors to trim any excess length from these pieces. Glue the pink circles on both cheeks.
Step 5: Glue the head to the body. Glue the buttons and bow to the gingerbread man’s body.
Step 6: Use a black gel pen or thin marker to draw the gingerbread man’s face.
Step 7: Attach the paper gingerbread man craft to a popsicle stick to complete the bookmark.
