Happy Paper Pumpkin Craft

It’s finally fall (or nearly there), and that means it’s time for all things pumpkin! Paper pumpkins are a great way to celebrate the season. This happy paper pumpkin craft is so easy and will bring joy to kids of all ages. With a Sharpie marker, construction paper, glue, and scissors you can create these adorable little decorations for your home or classroom! They’re great for any time during fall, from September all the way through Thanksgiving in November.

Make one or several… they’d look so cute clipped to some twine or string to make a banner of happy little pumpkins to hang on the mantle or in a doorway. This is such a cute Halloween paper craft!

How to Make This Paper Pumpkin Craft

Before you begin, grab the pumpkin template and print it.

Step 1: Select orange, green, brown, and pink construction paper for the paper pumpkin craft. circles on pink paper; the leaf and vine on green paper. Cut out the traced patterns from the construction paper.

Step 2: Attach the stem cutout on the top middle part of the pumpkin pattern. Attach the 2 pink circles on both sides near the bottom of the pumpkin to make the cheeks. You can keep the whole circle inside the pumpkin or you can slightly cross the base on the side as we did.

Step 3: Trim the sides of the circles to align them with the outline of the pumpkin. Use a green Sharpie to draw the veins on the leaf.

Step 4: Attach the leaf and vine on the top side of the pumpkin, adjacent to the stem.

Step 5: Use a black Sharpie to draw the eyes and mouth on the paper pumpkin craft.

Now you’re done! How cute is that little pumpkin? Make a few more now that you’re finished.

Put them up in the windows, on the doors, or anywhere you’d like to display a little fall cheer. They’d also make fantastic decorations in the classroom for Halloween or Thanksgiving.
